OUR PROGRAMS

FUTURE LEADER INTERNS

FLAZ selects Arizona's top students and provide them with internship opportunities in law, business, government, education, technology, non-profits, and media. Future Leader Interns participate in a six-week internship program that culminates with a college scholarship, professional mentor, and a leadership development plan.
Future Leader Interns is a highly selective program and all interns must meet three requirements: (1) Strong academic record (3.0 gpa); (2) Community Involvement (clubs, sports, volunteer work, etc…); (3) show financial need and/or identify as an underrepresented student.
Future Leader Internships are available to college students and high school juniors and seniors.

FOUNDATIONS (EARLY CHILDHOOD TRAINING)

Studies show that students living in poverty learn significantly less vocabulary words than their more affluent peers. Many times these students begin their very first day of school behind.
Foundations seeks to address this need through early childhood literacy training for parents in underserved communities.
Our trainers meet with parents weekly to hold four (4) workshops that provide them with the skills needed to prepare their children for school. We meet with parents at local schools in the neighborhood to ensure all trainings are convenient.
During the conclusion of the program parents receive a completion certificate and developmental materials to ensure they have the tools necessary to prepare their children.

SHAPING FUTURE LEADERS (LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT)

Shaping Future Leaders is a leadership development program that cultivates student leadership through in school leadership development workshops and programs.
Our trainers collaboratively work with public, private, and charter schools throughout Arizona to provide leadership training activities and programs that foster youth development and career exploration.
Our programs include the implementation of Safety Patrol, Model UN, Mock Trial, Street Law, and more.

PREPARING FUTURE LEADERS (TUTORING)

Future Leaders of Arizona provides after school tutoring for students in kindergarten to eighth grade. We strive to ensure that all students are prepared to take on the challenges of the 21^st century.
Our tutors make learning fun for students as we engage in collaborative learning working with small student groups.
